It’s when authors and aspiring authors take on a 30 day challenge to write a 175-page (50,000 word) novel.  The stories of how writers find the time to write 50,000 words in this time frame are truly mind blowing–on the bus, on the train, during stop and go traffic (hmmm, probably not the safest or most focused way to write), on a BlackBerry, before work, in the middle of the night, after the kids are in bed….
