Joining the Solo Practice University Faculty
To forward the goal of supporting lawyers who dream about creating flexible and meaningful legal careers within or alongside the law or getting back into the law after a career detour, I'm excited to announce that I've joined the faculty at Solo Practice University™, "a revolutionary new web-based educational community that picks up where your legal education left off."
Created by Susan Cartier Liebel (Build a Solo Practice, LLC), Solo Practice University™ is where lawyers and law students can go to learn how to start and run a law practice--even a part-time law practice that gives you the work/life balance you've dreamed about--and find resources for supporting your journey in or alongside the law. Solo Practice University™ is where lawyers can go to find tools for practicing law on their own terms.
Whether you want to create your own flexible path in the law to support your dreams, need a flexible path to accommodate life's demands, want to restore your love of the law, or think you have few practice options, there's so much hope and possibility.
At Solo Practice University™ I'll be teaching a course inspired by my book Staying at Home, Staying in the Law: A Guide to Remaining Active in the Legal Profession While Pursuing Your Dreams, which will help you carve out a path for following your dreams while staying connected to the law on your own terms. You'll also get a chance to network and connect with lawyers who share similar objectives--like other lawyer moms, lawyer dads, and entrepreneur-minded attorneys, who want it all, without stressing out or burning out along the way.
When it comes to increasing visibility around work/life balance and helping lawyers discover flexible legal paths, Solo Practice University™ is another resource with the potential to make a major and lasting impact on the profession.
