Be Cautious of Those Who Don’t Cheer For You and Your Victories

July 29, 2019
Selective love, temporary people quote
Letting go of temporary people or people who aren’t good for you isn’t always easy, but it is sometimes necessary to live your best life.

Not everyone is going to be your cheerleader in life.
If you haven’t already discovered for yourself, genuine supporters are few and far between.
I’m talking about the people who are truly happy for you when you know small or big successes;
People who are truly happy for you when
You are just being you,
Doing your own thing,
Smiling,
Breathing,
Existing;
People who want the best for you;
People who want to see you standing in the sunlight or catching snowflakes on your tongue.
Be wary of those who hold back support and of those who selectively shower or drizzle support on you.
Be wary of those who put conditions on their support, not to mention their love.
Be cautious of those who say one thing when in your presence and something different in the company of others.
Real cheerleaders exist.
You’ll find them.
You’ll know who they are.
They stand apart in the crowd.
They march to their own beat.
They waive pompoms, sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly–but they always cheer.
For you.
Every damn time.
Consistently.
Selflessly.
With love.
With genuine happiness for your happiness.
Wanting to help build you up, to see you grow, to see you become stronger,
Rather than secretly, or not-so-secretly,
Hoping or waiting for you to fall.

High On Love: Elevated Love is Devotion

July 8, 2019
Love and Devotion Quote

In relationships, it’s sometimes easy to toss around the words, I love you. Sure, it’s not always easy for people to say those three words. And for some, it’s not easy to say those three words without conditional qualifiers attached to them.

Saying I love you is one thing. It’s sort of the easy part in the big picture. Taking those words up to the next level is elevated love. Devotion.

Healthy devotion vs. unhealthy obsession is taking love up to the next level to encompass loyalty, dedication, and healthy attachment to the loved person.

You deserve it all.

You don’t have to settle in relationships. Even in a world of disposable relationships or temporary relationship interest, love and devotion still exist. You deserve the love you seek and desire. You deserve to know elevated love.
